Ministry
Overview
The Christian Care Ministry (CCM) was organized in July of 1993 as a division
of the American Evangelistic Association (AEA), an association of churches,
pastors, missionaries, and trained laity. A long-time concern of the AEA
leadership has been to assist fellow believers with the enormous burden of
healthcare costs. Over 5 decades ago, the AEA began sharing medical burdens
on an informal basis with their members. Seeing the need was great, the Christian
Care Ministry division was established and began offering its members a formalized
approach to sharing called the Medi-Share® program. There are now Medi-Share
members in all 50 states and on every continent. Each member of the Christian
Care Ministry is automatically a member of the AEA. Since the Christian Care
Medi-Share program was formally organized, members have shared every eligible
medical need.
In recent years, additional programs have been added to the Christian Care
Ministry to assist members with their health needs. The Christian Care Health
Initiatives program offers members information, education and assistance
to change their lifestyles, drastically reduce medical costs and improve
their quality of life. The Christian Disability Sharing program facilitates Christians
helping Christians during times of loss of income because of sickness or
injury. We are constantly working to add and improve services that reduce
medical costs and improve the corporate health for the membership.
